I learned a lot on the Vincentian Heritage Tour, but one skill I honed throughout my trip was to listen. Listening to others is so important in being a good leader and a friend. How am I going to help those around me amplify their voices, especially if they normally are silenced? How can I take what other’s say and apply it to how I shape my leadership?

Service is key. Service in leadership, in friendship, in life. I am so thankful to have been apart of this experience and I can’t wait to see how my leadership, and the leadership of those around me, evolves and grows. An individual is only as strong as the sum of their parts. And I’d like to think that those who support me, who lift me up and who challenge me to be better are not only integral to my character, but they are fuel to my fire.
